We all owe who we are to our surroundings, and we are very proud of our home in Ojai, California. So we wanted to make a tribute to California, and Tim fell down a rabbit hole! Did you know that the land now known as California was named by Spanish explorers after a fictional island from a 16th century romance novel? The name of the island, California, and the island's queen, Calafia, likely come from the Arabic word "Khalifa," meaning "successor."
