Casual Routes

East End Loop

7.5 miles / 250 ft     //     10.1 miles / 655 ft

This beautiful ride shows off the best parts of Ojai! It takes you through orange groves and mountain views by way of some quiet neighborhood streets and country roads. There's a long version for those on electric bikes or those looking for a solid workout, and a short version for those who just want to cruise.

Bike Path to the Beach

33.1 miles / 965 ft

The Ojai Valley Trail is completely separated from the road, all the way from Ojai to the beach! Ride to the beach, grab some lunch on the pier, and ride back.

Bike Path to Foster Park

17.3 miles / 657 ft

Don't have time to take the bike path all the way to the beach? Stop at Foster Park, which has picnic benches, shade, grass, bathrooms, and water fountains. For a perfect day, bring a picnic to eat before you ride back.

Gravel Routes

Sulphur Mountain Loop

31 miles / 3000 ft

Sulphur Mountain is our gravel staple-- so much that it's the base of our annual gravel ride. It's about 50/50 dirt/pavement, but you'll spend more time on the dirt since you're climbing up the gravel and descending on pavement.

Rice-Wills Loop

12 miles / 626 ft     //     4.5 miles / 493 ft

We could spend hours and hours playing in the Ventura River Preserve, but it's also a great option if you don't have time for a big ride. The Rice - Wills Loop is our go-to ride, but don't be afraid to branch off and explore!

Road Routes

Hwy 33 to Rose Valley (and beyond)

31.1 miles / 3200 ft     //    42.4 miles / 4200 ft     //     65.1 miles / 6300 ft

World-class riding, right in our backyard! An epic climb up Hwy 33 has incredible views of the ocean and an even epic-er descent. Turn around just past Rose Valley Road, turn into Rose Valley and ride out into the wild, or keep going all the way to Pine Mountain Summit.

Casitas Pass Loop

48.5 miles / 2700 ft

The Casitas Pass Loop has a little bit of everything-- a bit of climbing and descending along the 150 to the beach, flat with a tailwind along the beach to Ventura, and a gentle uphill on the bike path back up to Ojai. A great temperate ride during any season!

MTB Routes

Gridley-Pratt Loop

16 miles / 3700 ft

Gridley is Ojai's classic mountain bike ride! It goes straight from downtown Ojai up to Nordhoff ridge (cross your fingers for a clear day and be prepared to take pictures). If you're short on time, you can just turn around and come back the same way, but we like to take Nordhoff ridge over to Pratt Trail.
